***IS300 PARTS LIST!***
« on: June 15, 2019, 02:18:48 AM »
For everyone interested in my IS300/Altezza BBK

You'll need:

覧覧覧CALIPERS覧覧
02-10 VW Toureg
03-10 Porsche Cayenne
05-15 Audi Q7

The calipers should say 17ZL and 17ZR
PNs 20.8432.06 and 20.8432.05 (see pictures)
(use these numbers to confirm, there are many which look similar but wont work)

覧覧-HARDWARE覧覧-
4x  M12-1.75x30 (Mcmaster Carr PN 90128A297 - Socket cap style bolt or equivalent)

4x  M16-1.5x45 caliper bolts (or reuse the hardware from Cayenne/Toureg/Q7)

((8x  Fastenal PN 0136087 or  1245L from ace hardware

 (2.5mm thick)

40mm Roll Center Adjusters (RCA) of your choice (or can be included with purchase for a little extra)

覧覧覧-ROTORS覧覧-
Rotor specs should be 356x30mm- confirm that before ordering as there are many that are 334 which will not work.

1x 2013-2018 GS350 F sport rotor-121.44204 front iron brake rotor (Centric PN shown)

1x 2013-2018 GS350 F sport rotor-121.44205 front iron brake rotor (Centric PN shown)

Stock brake lines can be used although I would recommend getting stainless braided lines as it improves feel vastly. I値l have a confirmation picture of brake line fitment very soon!

Make sure to take the crossover lines and bleeders off and switch sides with them (because the cayenne/q7/Touareg have the caliper on the front of the knuckle and the is300 has them on the rear of the knuckle, technically you池e using the left caliper on the right and the right caliper on the left. The idea is you want the small pistons on the caliper to touch the rotor 吐irst which means the small pistons are on the bottom)

NOTE: Calipers will need to be modified, video will be added soon to show the process of fitting these.

NOTE: The Washers will go between the bracket and the caliper.

** UPDATE**
18z calipers WILL NOT WORK

There is extra clearancing to be done to clear the ball joint/tie rod attachment.
The OEM tie rod/ball joint fits it better.

Redlining_the_fuel_gauge on IG is working on a solution that will clear the tie rod without clearancing the caliper.

Sorry for any inconvienence that may have caused.

**ADDED 7/20/19**
I found a grinder for the rough cuts with a new disc and the pads out and a portable mini belt sander for the finish work worked best. Grab extra belts cuz they do burn up somewhat quick.

If you purchased calipers bare the hardware to mount the pads can be had here:

Here are the pictures of the modifications needed, I tried to give a rough dimension of what will be needed. These calipers have a ton of meat to them so don't be afraid to take too much.

There's a small notch needed to be removed from the lower webbing. Forgings may vary so it may be unnecessary for some.

In these pictures you can see where the washers are needed.

The excess threads (shown with blue circles) can either be cut off or left as is. There's plenty of room to leave them without repercussions.

The bracket will mount to the wheel side of the knuckle ears. (ignore my makeshift 3d printed spacer (green arrow), I didn't have short enough bolts to bolt it down)
