Okay so its been a long time sense I've been in the celica world but just picked up a 90 gts with the 2.0 (3sfe) I save from going to he junk yard car sat for 8 years under a tree in Florida heat, my goal is to make it my daily driver. Nothing performance yet. I have another twin cam 2.0 motor they bought (3sge?) But would need a new harness to work. I've only had the 5s and 4afe motor so I'm new to the 3s motor family. What all can i do to it while its apart? I would like billet or aftermarket fuel rail and injectors something to give it a little boost but mainly wanna make it reliable and cheap to get running.

How do you know it's a 3sfe?
90-93 celica GT/GTS's all had 5sfe's unless someone pulled the 5sfe and swapped in a 3sfe.
As for the "3sge" you'll know it's different if you look at the head compared to the FE head.
As for making it fit you'll need to convert the harness (combine the two) or have someone do that for ya.
As for a fuel rail, if it's an FE you don't need to screw with the rail. They are plenty capable stock.
You can do the adjustable FPR mod in the other parts of this forum and buy the Aussie header (change to Australia's eBay in the settings of the app and search celica extractor) and look into webcams.
The single best mod for a 5sfe powered fwd celica is to change to the S54 transmission from 94-99 celica GT/GtS's with the 5sfe engine

Here is the motor I am gonna put back in it I just have to wait for my.head to get here cause they lost a main cap.for the cams, the bottom end is brand new cause they had a rod knock and had the machine shop do it all,
But the other engine I'm.not sure on it is twin cam it was imported from Japan I was told

I've never seen a 3sfe motor before in a celica to.be honest. But they said they drove it for years till the rod broke. I checked the Vin its 100% a gts which to.my knowlage all.my other gts had 2.2s not the 2.0

Only North America got the 5sfe as far as I understand with the exception of a few places so they used the 3sfe a lot more.
