Title: boost gauge help.

So the P.O. "installed" a boost gauge in the car but it doesnt read anything. No vacuum when car is idling and no boost when the car is in boost so I was wondering if there is anyone here who knows how to install a boost gauge. If noone responds I will try to figure it out on my own

what kind of gauge is it? is it electrical, or mechanical...   electrical will have wires only in the back.  mechanical will have a tube attached to it.   

look in the engine bay for that vacuum line.  its possible the gauge is just sitting in there with nothing hooked up to it.

Po installed the gauge incorrectly he had it hooked up to a ported vacuum switch and not manifold vacuum so it would only show vacuum on decell
